the Aviation Center

The three acre Aviation Center facility
includes a 50,000 square foot hangar.
Large ramp areas allow actual taxiing
and runup of aircraft.  There is ample
free student parking.
Large workshops are provided at each end of the central hangar.  Powerful, state-of-the-art lighting provides ample illumination of both shop and outside ramp areas.
Two outstanding features of the
Aviation Center are it's large, EPA
legal paint booth and it's well-stocked
toolroom.  Unlike some other schools,
the Aviation Center provides all
necessary hand and power tools.

Hands-on training is heavily emphasized at the Aviation Center.  Students work on operable turbine and piston engines, as well as functional aircraft.

The comprehensive facilities of the Aviation Center make it possible for students to perform major repairs to aircraft.  Typical of such work, these aircraft are inspected, repaired and maintained by students.
The Aviation Center has many operable piston and
jet aircraft, including three operational helicopters.
This former Coast Guard turbine-engined Sikorsky is maintained
and run by students on a regular basis.
The Aviation Center emphasizes hands-on training.  Each of the 45 different subject areas provides each student with practical experience
